hatiku sakit ...

aku post out kebohongan mungkin bisa memberikan kebaikan di suatu akhir, yang tak pasti ...
, entah kenapa, seharusnya aku mati rasa , tapi , aku masih saja menitikkan air mata .. entah ..

kata kata menyakitkan , tingkah laku ponggah , sifat tak bisa menerima semua ini .. aku kacau ..

semua dibalik senyum ramah, wajah penuh tawa, suasana bahagia .. aku menangis , aku terpuruk , aku kehilangan arah ..

Oh, my Choky!

Gosh, never knew I would have this 'great' dream.
Sorry guys, i have to tell this in my 'own' language. It makes it easier for me.

U know that I admired Choky Sitohang so much. His posture, his personal appeal, his smile, his voice, everything about him. And last nite, I dream of him.

Background: I was in some sort of private school. Lots of students even small kids. I happened to be one of the senior, really senior in there- amongs other senior, of course. And I was appointed to be one of the leader during kids break time and I suggest for a cute dance.
Anyway, result is great! People loves it. People cheered me.
And time to go back. School finish. Job done.

On my way back, a Jeep come by to pick me up. Reflex, I get in & sit next to the driver. And guys!!! it's Choky, next to me! He's my BF?!!!!

It was so cool! I start my search inside the car, as it was my hobby (i haven't really notice it 'til I got this dream).
I finished my cellphone battery, so I look for a charger. He asked me to look under his seat, where he used to keep all things over there. So, I look for it.

Hmm... he just wearing short! And I touch his laps with my nose! He's white & smooth! ...(keep dreaming, girls)
Well, I found it- I charge it.

Rumors said that you used to get 'wet' on top of your 'batik' t-shirt, while doing it on your Persian cushions, I asked. Is it true? And how many of that Persian cushion, you had? (cause I never had one- I'm curious, so I asked)
He put on his cute smile and said " I got 12 of them .... and You'll see..."
OMG!

and once get home, you what girls? ..OMG!!
He wears his 'batik' T-shirt and starting getting 'wet' on his Persian cushion~ he's washing them with hand, not with his washing machine.
Poor Choky!

Desainer from Taiwan

Confronted with an ever-growing pile of old newspapers, Taiwanese fashion designer Colin Lin came up with the idea of using them to make shoes and tote bags for her environmentally friendly footwear company.
Both the shoes and tote bags are very much in line with Lin's environmentally friendly approach to business — an approach that in recent years has led her to use fish skin and raffia as replacements for leather.

"My concern is for comfort, fashion and the environment," she said.

Lin's shoes and tote bags stand out in a crowd because they are replete with the telltale Chinese characters that are printed in Taiwanese newspapers and the colorful photos and advertisements that accompany them.

Both of the items go through a time consuming manufacturing process and neither comes cheap. A pair of paper shoes takes 3-4 hours to make and sells for $100-150, while a tote bag takes as much as 2-3 days and can go for up to $260.

"You can't imagine how many chemicals are used in each process of regular shoemaking," said Lin. "And I try to do away with them as much as possible."

Dinner at Hulhumale Hotel (only place to enjoy real food)

Hmm... temptating look isn't it?
this is sort of complimentary or something like tat- too little, but it's free also. He3x...
fresh shrimp boiled & served with cream sauce (can't determine which one is it)
but for sure, make your mouth watery-
can't wait for the next dish~

ups- i suppose to tell you about the starter i got.
so yummy 'til once get into my spot & it's gone.
it was scallops! great!
so here i left you the plate, only-

above is my bf's main course- fried noodles in singapore style, if not mistaken-
anyway, it's good taste- & the quantity is perfect for me. But too bad, it's not my dish- even i got chance to pick little.

wait 'til you see what i had for my dish that nite.

here comes my dinner set?! hi3x.. yup- it's a lot! really a lot!
i couldn't finish them all, as always- good that my bf is there to help me finish them. Hi3x.. no wonder his tummy is all comes from my dishes, left over dishes- ha3x..

as you can see, i ordered eel with rice & complete with other's too-
the eel is kinda not right- as i used to eat before, not in same place anyway. This one is not to melt well- well, if you know what i mean with 'melt' in fish issue.

others, like those tempura are okay- with the sauce as well.
anyway, i always love tempura- especially vegie's part- yummy.
the soup is always good-

sushi? raw fish? hmm... yummy- they taste fresh & the shrimps are sweet! excellent

o yah, you got to try those squid & jelly fish- they taste good. yummy-

Save Ur Earth

starting with this...
Thanks to Swedish design studio Bulldog for sending this in.

“Foxglo (pronounced Fox-glow) was launched to address European consumer adoption of basic green ideas and specifically, a shift from use of incandescent light bulbs to more energy efficient, compact florescent lighting.

Bulldog’s remit was to help the brand provide assurance of energy saving benefits, empower consumers to make technical comparisons with traditional incandescent bulbs and to promote correct waste handling for all Foxglo products.

Since many European countries have announced intentions to make Eco-friendly bulbs compulsory, campaigners have been calling for warnings and disposal advice to be printed on bulb packaging. Many of the leading European brands in the category have failed to do this, despite the risks posed by a product that requires special waste handling and increasing media pressure to do so.

Bulldog developed a name and visual identity that suggest the primary brand benefit with a view to penetrating the market quickly. The packaging solution, using bio-degradable inks and 100% recycled stock, attracts, directs and educates consumers - enabling informed purchasing decisions that will contribute to their well-being, as well as that of the environment.”

Work Slaves

Does this look or feel like how your company runs?

There are 3 things you need to be aware:
1.Voice - listen more, you're not always the right one even you hold strong position of company
2.Community - doesn't run only with you, runs together & understand together

What I Feel About Male, Maldives-part2

The feeling will be mixed- either i love it or i dislike it.

Let's get start with the dis-like first.
-I found it still hard for me to adjust my life schedule. You need to wake up by Sunday and get your ass to work. While you also don't have your own space to church. And tank top, and mini skirt and hot pants
-Friday while you're having holiday, you couldn't go anywhere or finding anyplace to relax, cause all shops and store are closed. And if you have habit to have breakfast out during your holiday, since you don't cook- then you're hopeless!
Male's places to eat only open after 1 for most places- and you're dead!
-Shoes issue. I broke 4 of my shoes during my 6months stay here. Terrible! And most of all, shoes here are just for a months time. Aware it's always on right shoes got broken first- We all suspect its because of it's beautiful road
-Food varieties. Oh, I miss my Mc.Donal or KFC or even my Pizza Hut.
Getting indian food was interesting, but got it for whole time- ugh, couldn't take it anymore. It's just not fit to my tounge, except for Indian's, of course
Craving of really good ice cream which price not taking our whole wallet inside.
-Entertainment is totally less. No malls, no bars, no place to hang out freely.
People got used to hang out in coffee shop. LOL-
-Accomodation. This is another issue, people need to aware once they step in & live in. Cost you a fortune! Small places, of its an island & lots of population so that's whay cramp goes in & no one to blame!
-Aw,man! They're closing while you finish catching up with your work from office. Getting ready to get your groceries after 5.30 is just never enough! Once they open, you already lost your will to shop.
Surely they can still open, cause those people are not going to pray anyway. They still inside and chattering while we're here dying to get our groceries list done.
-Strict! that's what they keep saying about themselves.
I think that should be supported with attitude also. I don't see it,guys.... LOL

Hmm.. probably there'll be more to add later on, but I'll skip it for now.
writing all these stuff already makes me distructed- so let's continue to good part as i feel ready to write-
no, i'm catching up my dinner ..

Male, at Maldives

Maldives...
Lots of people will think of white sand, sea breeze, gorgeous rooms with all its facilities, and big smile on everyone's face...

Well, what I'm going to tell in here was not all about it- I'm telling the real life here in Male, Maldives.
So, here are the real life ...

Male is the center of life for Maldivians. It's build on an island, and place itself can't say the biggest island, though it's the center activity of it.
Business runs on this island, and spread to others. Such as Adhu and other up-coming new island.

Once you arrived in Maldives, you'll need to travel with dhoni (traditional boat, they called) to Male. To reach the city.
This happen unless, you've book yourself a comfy privilege resort. Then you'll be picked up with special speed boat- Enjoy! Goods comes along with certain amount!

Male is known for its Muslim territory. Most people livin inside are Muslim, and they're quite restrict for few issues.
(In my opinion, those rules are bit too much & it'll trigger more issue in the future.)
For example: no church is allowed here, that includes bringing bibble or even small cross is prohibited. So, no more Sunday church you guys!

People itself you'll find variously, but most of them are Indian / Bangladesh / Sri Lanka.
Rumors said that they came here for it's privilege for easier access to Maldives, rather than other countries. Well, we all known what's happening around the globe, aren't we? It's not their fault, for sure- but they're the one who carried the blame.
Pop up restaurant will come along with its people, such as: Indian restaurant.

Most of food here are influence with Indian taste- lots of ingredients and special taste of India. Even biscuit will taste bit of it.
You better get used to it while you're in Male.
Instead of Indian's, second famous range is Thai's food. And rest coming is Chinese.

For places, not so much sight seeing place here. Heard there's original island where Maldives started- but haven't been there. Once I'm there, will post out the story, k?!
Most places here are related with old/ancient mosque or even their ancient graveyard. There's presidential palace, too- But it's not for public- so what to see?
You got museum here, but it's just a glimpse that you'll took only 10min and finish up. Ugh ..

No, no, I'm not complaining but I would think they should improve more on theirs.
Road are uneven, broke 3 of my shoes here during my half year staying. Totally ruin of!
Trash are everywhere, government never provide trash can along the street- so people will just throw away anywhere, or probably in most case, they'll stop by near the electric box & stuck trash on top of it-

No mini skirt, no tank top, for sure- but that doesn't change men behave for insulting women with their whistle or even sometimes they'll purposely knock your butt or thigh , just for sake of pleasure!
I thought religion thought people to respect others, and more over it's in religious place, such as Maldives?!

For you thinking to stop over & enjoy life at Male. Hotels cost you a hell!
Been to a hotel, near airport jetty- which far away from 'standard' level & cleanliness ... they charge you for 80 bucks! and the room so yaiksss...
Better consult & check rooms condition bfore you approve to stay on it-

Odd day for most people (outside Maldivian) that Friday is holiday; Saturday & Sunday is full work day.
And you'll be having hard time to have food delivery, since they operate after 1 in the afternoon- and few times they'll be closing for prayer time. And friday?.. don;t ask! They closed!

What could be anything more fun than shopping? Yeah ..
don't expect too much- Some stuff here are originally Maldivian's trademark, but rest of the goods are same as you'll found in your country, too.
They did produce themselves dhoni (traditional boat) that you'll need to assemble once you reach home. Or woven mat, which looks lovely but costly.

If i can advise, take more shots, experience more and buy less.

Food, people, island, what else can I share with you?
